Maurice Clarett Is Aiming For the 2016 Olympics Rugby Team

Former Ohio State standout running back Maurice Clarett has not given up on his athletic career. After a rough four-year period in which Clarett had one of the biggest falls from grace in college sports, going from star athlete to convicted felon, he's still pressing on.

According to a report from RugbyMag.com, Clarett jjoined the Tiger Rugby Olympic Development Program in Columbus, Ohio. Tiger Rugby director Paul Holmes says Clarett is committed to making the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The 29-year-old former Ohio State and Denver Broncos running back met and worked out with Holmes Wednesday before agreeing to join the program. Holmes was impressed with Clarett's athleticism, despite his being out of football for years.

"He's ridiculous. That's all I can say," said Holmes of Clarett. "His footwork is phenomenal. He's nowhere near conditioned for rugby, but that will come…The stuff he's doing in the gym right now, he's just ridiculous."

Hopefully this rugby thing works out for Clarett. It's definitely something to keep an eye out for.
