The Ravens won the Super Bowl but Niners running back Frank Gore isn't convinced the better team hoisted the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday. With this quote, Gore indirectly makes the same case from The Nickel on why Jacoby Jones could have easily been the Super Bowl MVP:
"I just feel like we [were] the better team. They got away with one today. We showed them we were the better team. It was just a couple plays here, a couple plays there."
Here's one of those plays:
Jones' 108-yard kickoff return (Super Bowl record) earned $600,000 worth of furniture to customers at a Baltimore furniture store – whoever shopped there from Jan. 31 and yesterday afternoon. Anyone willing to bet the local Gardiners Furniture was betting against this happening?
@nmoralesnbc @ravens @alroker Love it! We're so proud of the Ravens! And thanks to Jacoby, our customers won $600,000 in FREE FURNITURE!
