Jon Jones “Frozen” By Israel Adesanya’s “Glossy” French Tip Nails

It is no secret that current UFC middleweight champion Israel “The Last Stylebender” Adesanya and former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones don’t like each other.

The relatively dormant beef since Jones moved up to heavyweight reignited last night when Jones clowned Adesanya for having “glossy” french tip nails and more after the former’s lackluster win over Jared Cannonier at UFC 276.

During Adesanya’s post-fight interview, when asked about the fight, he rubbed his hands Cash Money Birdman style and talked about who he wanted to fight next, namely challenger Alex Pereira, who had just knocked out Sean Strickland on the same card.

“We know who’s next! Next time I put you on skates, you gonna get frozen like Elsa!”

However, Jones and many others were distracted by the white-tipped polished shine coming off his winning fingernails. Jones was also more than perturbed by Adesanya’s reference to a Disney movie when talking about the next man potentially in line for Adesanya’s title.

Post and Delete

“What the f*ck this motherf*cker just made a Frozen reference with those glossy fingernails lol,” Jones posted then deleted.

But Jones didn’t stop there. His perplexed state persisted, and he had to let the world know.

“Bro I can’t stop thinking about this sh*t,” Jones wrote. “How are you going to threaten a guy like Alex with glossy fingernails and a frozen reference. I’m over here scratching my head.”

During the post-fight press conference, Adesanya was asked about his thoughts about Jones’ tweets, and his temperament proved that their beef is not cooked yet.

“F&*k Jon Jones, I don’t want to hear about that b&*%h,” Adesanya said, straightening his eyebrows with his heavily manicured finger.

“What is he going to talk about my nails for, he’s just jealous and insecure; he’s a f&*k boy. He could never rock sh*t like this. He’s a b&*%h. F&*k him, I don’t really give a f&*k what he thinks.”

Holy manicure, the sheen on the flare-up between the two just became brighter. But will the chatter result in an actual fight between the two?

Probably not.

Jones has been waiting for a fight since his announcement to commit to the heavyweight division. His string of out-of-the-cage problems has piled up over the years, halting forward motion in his career. Most recently, he was suspected of domestic violence against his fianceé, Jesse Moses, on the night he received an induction into the UFC Hall of Fame.

He has clamored for a fight against current UFC heavyweight champion Francis “The Predator” Ngannou and has been out of competition since his 2020 close victory over Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.

However, UFC president Dana White has recently mentioned that both Ngannou and former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic are possible opponents for Jones, which came as a surprise for “Bones.”

“I don’t know but I’m glad Dana came out and said something,” Jones posted in response to a fan inquiry. “I’m ready, I’ve been ready. Waiting on a date.”

Ngannou is going through a serious contract renegotiation with the UFC and had knee surgery in March. He will either wait out his champion’s clause or fight again in December. He has been lobbying for an inter-disciplinary matchup against Tyson Fury in boxing, but Dana White has shot that down.

“At this point I’m looking to fight Stipe, I think it proves more,” Jones tweeted. “Fighting a fairly one-dimensional fighter fresh off knee surgery. I don’t know, I believe beating Stipe says more at this point.”

Adesanya’s lone excursion into the light heavyweight division proved unsuccessful against former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz in 2021. However, Adesanya has flirted with going up as high as heavyweight in the past.

Whether Jones or Adesanya meet at light heavy or a catchweight in the future is highly unlikely, but their manicured beef is highly entertaining at least.
