The 2014 MTV Movie Awards may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but it could easily be considered one of the most unique award shows that have ever been created. Based on its mid April broadcast, is it actually the first show of the award season or the last? No one can be sure. But with film categories like “Best Scared as Sh*t Performance” and “#WTF Moment,” viewers are certain to be amused at the evening’s festivities even if it’s only to see what truly constitutes a WTF moment in the eyes of voters.
Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the 2014 MTV Movie Awards are being billed as “Biggerer and Badderer,” whatever that’s supposed to mean. Despite some of the categories that were clearly named for comic effect, the MTV Movie Awards also feature traditional film categories like Movie of the Year, Best Male Performance, and Best Female Performance.
