UFC 210: Cormier Dramatically Makes Weight

Daniel Cormier (18-1) stepped on the scale for UFC 210 over the 205lb limit for his fight against Anthony Johnson (22-5) tomorrow on pay-per-view. The champ weighed in at 206.2, which is 1.2lbs over the title-fight weight limit.

Cormier arrived five minutes before the two hours given by the New York State Athletic Commission to be on the scale when he didnt make weight.  He returned to the scale two minutes later and made the light heavyweight limit, a benefit only offered to title fights in the Empire State.

Johnson came in well under at 203.8lbs after Cormier, making the title fight official for UFC 210.

Cormier made his light heavyweight debut against Patrick Cummins at UFC 170 after demolishing all comers in the heavyweight division. The former Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion boasts wins over bigger men like Josh Barnett, Frank Mir and a highlight reel knockout over Antonio Big Foot Silva in 2011.

Since losing to Jon Jones at UFC 182, Cormier is currently on a three-fight win streak as champion and is facing Johnson for the second time at the Key Bank Arena in Buffalo, NY tomorrow.
