Sirius XM’s Fantasy Football Exec, Corey Parson, joined us on TSL Sports Talk this weekly for our week Fantasy Football update. Here are a few excerpts of what he had to say about players going into week 10.
On taking a chance on Adrian Peterson:
Fantasy owners may have heard Adrian Peterson is a free man and is able to walk [away from the Vikings], but that doesn’t mean that the NFL will let him walk. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the Minnesota Vikings will take him back… If you are a guy that’s sitting on the top of your league with a good record -a one or two loss record- and you can afford to take up an extra roster spot on a guy that may not play, sure. Why not. Go ahead and take the gamble.
On Mark Sanchez:
If you were to ask me this last Sunday, around 1:00pm, Mark Sanchez was owned by about 0.3% of fantasy leagues. As of right now, Mark Sanchez is owned in about 85% of fantasy leagues. The numbers jumped up this week because you see opportunity where the offense is about volume. They’re throwing the football with volume. Nick Foles is having a terrible season so far this year. But, he was good for fantasy strictly because of his volume.
