Welcome to another great episode of TSL Sports Talk hosted by our Mark Gray.
This week we welcome the head football coach from the University of Virginia, Mike London. We are featuring Coach London in the first episode of our College Football Narratives series and his is a story of so much more than football. It’s a story of odds and how one man faced and defeated those odds every time they posed a challenge. So listen in and learn more about a man whose dreams of a pro football career ended suddenly which put him on a path towards coaching; not before almost dying at the hands of a criminal while facing the possibility of losing his daughter to a rare blood disorder. It’s an amazing life story of a man who continues to survive and thrive.
And our best wishes go to our host as he lost his Mother this past week. An amazing woman, Dr. Josephine Boyd Bradley overcame the racism faced as the first black student to integrate a high school in North Carolina, weeks before the Little Rock Nine. She went on to a long and highly successful career in education. Our condolences to the entire family. Rest In Power Dr. Bradley.
Two amazing stories and tributes to people who refused to give up and who succeeded no matter the odds. An amazing show of inspiration that we’re excited, and honored, to share with you.
