We still can’t believe that Phife Dawg, known to his friends and family as Malik Taylor, passed away in 2016 at the age of 45. It seems like we just spoke with him yesterday for our annual Shadow League Super Bowl roundtable podcast.
When Phife left us, we knew he was chilling upstairs talking Tar Heels hoops with legendary Coach Dean Smith. So in his honor, we presented a “TSL Sports Talk- the Phife Dawg Tribute,” a show dedicated to the life of the five-foot assassin with three people who knew him well: JR Gamble, Lizz Robbins, and Scoop Jackson.
