When Miguel tried his high-wire act at last month’s Billboard Music Awards and fell on that woman’s head, one thing was obvious from the jump. Miguel is about to take a trip to Lawsuit City.
Now, I don’t know how much Miguel weighs, but I would venture to say dude is probably under 150 pounds. A number light enough to scoff at no doubt, but heavy enough to cause damage if dropped with enough force onto a woman’s head. He had no business trying that routine anyway, or at least not without rubber soles. I’m sure it’s a decision he regrets. As for the woman, whether she has brain damage or not, is up for the courts to decide. Though I suspect, that this will be settled way before a court date is even on the books. He’s gonna cough up a couple of million dollars at least.
Audience member Khyati Shah was among the crowd at the music awards show in Las Vegas last month when Miguel fell short during his flying jump over a pit of people and crashed into her. The singer inadvertently struck her with his right thigh and the blow violently cracked Shah against the stage.
But it now seems more serious as it's thought it caused severe trauma to Shah, with symptoms consistent with brain damage, reports TMZ.com.
The victim's lawyer, Vip Bhola, told the website: 'Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury.'
