The University of Texas has reportedly signed a 15-year deal with Nike, the richest contract in the history of college sports.
Nike was facing stiff competition from Under Armour , one of the fastest growing sports brands in history, before finalizing the deal.
The Longhorns have sold more merchandise than any other program in the nation, so from a business standpoint it makes complete sense that they will own the richest contract in college sports.
Texas fans are hoping that this new contract will lead to more victories for Charlie Strong’s squad.
