The drawn-out divorce battle for NHL star Evander Kane has reached a fever pitch.
The San Jose Sharks winger scored a victory in court with his estranged wife, Anna. According to a reported statement from Kane’s lawyers, on Wednesday, he was granted sole custody of the couple’s 1-year-old daughter, Kensington.

In addition, Dan Milstein, who is Kane’s agent, tweeted that Kane and Anna appeared in court for “emergency custody issues.”
However, Anna fired back, reportedly sharing a video to her Instagram Story that showed Kane pointing a “loaded” gun at her.

“She posted videos, taken intentionally out of context, from a professional photo shoot both parties participated in back in 2020,” said Kane’s lawyers, according to reports.

“It doesn’t matter what I say, or what any of his victims say, there will always be some excuse, followed by a lie,” said Anna, in a post on her Instagram Story. “Like now this ‘photo shoot’ I was apparently involved in.”

However, a judge has ruled that Anna will have to do supervised visits with their daughter. It is also pending a professional psychiatric evaluation.
“The concerns in Court was and is Ms. Kane’s mental stability, potential untreated mental health issues and the effects of the same on the parties’ young daughter,” said Travis Krepelka, Kane’s legal counsel, according to reports.

Fake It Till You Make It?
In Kane’s statement, he revealed that Anna faked pregnancy with their second child for months. However, according to reports, she received an abortion in July, which she previously denied in legal documents filed before the hearing.

“I acknowledge I was not forthcoming about my pregnancy ending, but I was and still am terrified because I know what this man is capable of,” Anna clapped back.
According to reports, Anna added that she feels Kane has “zero regard” for her or their daughter.
Toxic Cycle
In the past, Anna has lobbed allegations against Kane of physical and verbal abuse, in addition to infidelity. She also accused Kane of sexual abuse.
“We were not given any support at all. After the day he decided to leave me, and I found out through social media he was in Europe with another woman, Mara, who is now pregnant with his baby,” Anna wrote according to reports.
Anna added that Kane has “been given a pass” by his family and the NHL. She wrote that Kane “has gambled away every dollar he’s ever made and then some.”
The Gambler
However, Kane admitted to having a gambling problem and filed for bankruptcy in California in January.
Anna first accused Kane of cheating back in July on social media, claiming that the bank was seizing their home. She also alleged that he bet on NHL games, including the San Jose Sharks.

However, when the NHL opened an investigation, they couldn’t validate the allegations. Kane took to Twitter to deny the accusations and called them “lies” in two social media statements.
Kane was suspended for 21 games by the NHL for COVID-19 violations, which ended after a Sharks game on Sunday.
