NBA players come and go. Some thrive and become legendary fireworks to the likes of the Macys 4th of July display and others simply fizzle out without the slightest bang. It happens. Its life within the sport.
Over the years there have been a vast amount of reasons given from those less than stellar career having vets as to why they did not prosper the way they felt they should have. But never, and we mean ever, did we think we would hear the latest excuse given by former point guard Rashad McCants.
Weve heard of players blaming injuries, family issues, money woes, lack of playing time, coaches, owners, teammates and even referees for their lack of rise within the NBA. But never have we heard a player invoke the Kardashian sunken place as a reason for a lack of prosperity! Cue Mr. McCants!
According to CBS Sports, McCants says that dating Khloe Kardashian is the reason why he did not excel in the NBA. No, we are not joking.
Says McCants, “Without that situation in play, I’m a $60-70 million player,” McCants said. “Easily.” Yes, that just happened.
We dont know about all of that. We guess well have to wait on the rest of her NBA baes to weigh in on the situation so that we can get a general consensus as to how much validity that statement holds. (Not really)
But its a fun conversation to imagine for sure.
