Oakley’s Gambling Arrest Is His Latest Off The Court Fail

As if getting yoked up by Madison Square Garden security during a Knicks game wasnt embarrassing enough for Charles Oakley, TMZ Sports has learned that the ex-NBA star was arrested at the Cosmopolitan on July 8 after allegedly trying to pull a fast one during a gambling session — and it was all caught on video.

Former Knicks Star Charles Oakley Arrested In Las Vegas After Cheating

Former Knicks player Charles Oakley was reportedly arrested at a Las Vegas casino on July 8. According to Dead Spin, the 54-year-old attempted to pull a chip he had wagered off of the table. Nevada Gaming Board Officials said Oakley “was suspected of adding to or reducing his wager on a gambling game after the outcome was known.”

Officials from the Nevada Gaming Board tell us Oakley” was suspected of adding to or reducing his wager on a gambling game after the outcome was known.”

Unclear what game he was playing at the time — but one source with knowledge of the incident says Oak tried to pull back a $100 chip after he realized he was going to lose. Ain’t nothing change. Oakley probably used to try and pick the dice back up when he rolled a foul hand of cilo or craps back in the days too.

According to TMZ, Oakley, who reportedly made more than $46 mil during his NBA career, was confronted about the incident — and it was kicked over to a security team which reviewed the casino video footage … confirming the alleged cheating.

Oak was booked into Clark County Detention Center. Oak’s gambling charge is serious business — “to commit or attempt to commit a fraudulent act in a gaming establishment.” He faces between 1 to 6 years in prison if convicted.

A source close to Oakley tells us, “This is an insignificant matter that will be quickly resolved.”

I think its safe to say that sometimes, Oakley be wildin. He needs to slow down a bit. Hes 54-years old and it’s time for my man to take a break from the fast life. If his paper is short then double up on his hustle.  Although most folks see Oakley as the victim in his spat with James Dolan, this accusation certainly doesn’t help his image as a player/coach for Killer 3s of Ice Cubes Big3 pro league
