Nike introduced Mike Trout’s new signature sneaker, the Nike Force Zoom Trout 5.
The 8-year veteran is considered by baseball scouts as a “five-tool player,” an elite performer in five areas: hitting for power, hitting for average, game speed, defense, and arm strength.
With all of this together, Nike was challenged to develop a sneaker of a star who’s built like a linebacker, runs like a sprinter, and has the footwork of a dancer.
After collecting data from Trout at the Nike Sports Research Lab (NSRL), they updated The Trout 4 for better enhancing features.
Like the previous model, the Nike Force Zoom Trout 5 has the same generative-design plate, a hexagonal Zoom Air in the forefoot and the heel to give comfort and bounce and the collar is raised to the same preferred height that Trout wanted.
This time though, the new model includes a dynamic upper for stability, directional bootie tongue for a secured fit, engineered woven panel on side hugs, better breathability and the new Trout wordmark and debut signature logo.
