NBA Injury Woes Continue With Jeremy Lin’s Ruptured Patella Tendon

One game into the 2017-2018 NBA campaign, Jeremy Lin has joined Gordon Hayward on the list of injured players who are done for the season. The seven-year veteran guard out of Harvard left Brooklyn’s opener Wednesday with what has been revealed as a season-ending knee injury. 

The Nets released a statement on Lin’s medical status.

Jeremy Lin is out for the season.

Lin scored 18 points and and handed out four assists last night against Indiana before leaving the game midway through the fourth quarter.

Eight Pacers scored in double figures, three finished with double-doubles and Indiana produced its highest point total in nearly seven years in their 140-131 season-opening victory. Darren Collison had 21 points and 11 assists, Myles Turner had 21 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks, and former Nets player Thaddeus Young added 17 points and 11 rebounds.

This is the second year in a row Lin will be sidelined due to injury after he only played 36 games last season. When he did play, he averaged 14 points and five assists.
