Houston Texans Are Doing Enough Just To Get By

In Week 1, the Texans logged a franchise record comeback from 21 points down against the San Diego Chargers to win the opener on Monday Night Football. The deficit wasn't the same Sunday against the Titans, but the drama was the same

The Titans had the Texans down by eight points late in the fourth quarter, before Arian Foster stepped up and shut down all the narratives that he's regressed since taking the league's most carries a season ago. Foster scored the game-tying touchdown and extra two points to force OT.

Too bad Gregg Williams isn't a quarterback guru.

Houston had its chances to win the game in regulation, but young kicker Randy Bullock didn't rise to the occasion in the manner he did against the Chargers when he kicked the game-winner.

It was up to rookie wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who was the go-to guy with Andre Johnson out of the game being evaluated for a possible concussion, to come up with big plays. He did that. Hopkins finished with seven catches for 117 yards, including the TD grab that sealed the deal in overtime.

Thing is, the Texans actually play some good teams during the next few weeks in the Ravens, Seahawks and 49ers. They might want to grind harder.
