Dwyane Wade Beats LeBron And Boosts Chicago

Dwyane Wade has been on a hot streak on and off the court.

Still gloating from winning a World Series bet with LeBron James, the 14-year veteran, who left Miami after 13 vanglorious years, continued his good fortune by scoring 24 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists in a satisfying and ego-boosting 111-105 win over the Cavaliers (13-5) at the United Center on Friday night.

It was Clevelands third-straight loss, and though LeBron and Wade firmly embraced before the game, Wade took no prisoners once the ball jumped and LBJ didn’t like that losing feeling.

You know Wade was going to show up at a moment like this. He gave LeBron 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists on Christmas Day 2014 in LeBron’s first game back in Miami after bouncing back home to Cleveland.

And on Friday, Wade was his usual bulldog self and worked in perfect unison with his Bulls teammates. He put on a show for his hometown fans with one of his best all-around performances of the season.

Everybody has to be ready to play the game, Wade said. That’s what Lebron James does. He gets everybody ready to go.

Wades old knees had a little extra hop in them on Friday night and the crowd was a sea of red and exuded a playoff atmosphere.

It was great , Wade said after the game. Its a new environment playing against him  (LeBron) for the first time in Chicago, said Wade who won two chips in four seasons as LBJs superstar sidekick in Miami. I love competing against him. Im glad we got the W, but hes the best in the game and brings out the best in everybody.

After a few tumultuous seasons on transitioning squads, Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo is back to playing funkdified, free and with a purpose. The veteran point guard added 15 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds to help seal the victory over Cleveland.

The win gave the Bulls  (11-7) a boost of confidence that they will use as they set their heights higher than a No. 3 seed as they move within a game of Toronto and two games of Cleveland in the Eastern Conference standings.

Said Rondo: We are gunning for first. We dont want to settle for second… Anything can happen
