Dwane Casey To Become New Head Coach Of The Detroit Pistons

Looks like there’s a new sheriff in Motown and his name is Dwane Casey.

Casey, the former head coach of the Toronto Raptors, has, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, agreed on a 5-year deal with the Pistons to become their new head coach.

Dwane Casey has reached an agreement on a 5-year deal to become the next coach of the Detroit Pistons, league sources tell ESPN.

Casey, the Raptors head coach since 2011 who held a record of 320 – 238 with Toronto, could never get the Raptors’ past King James and into the NBA Finals despite consistently being one of the top teams in the East. Now he’ll get his shot in Detroit, and if LeBron heads West, the road to the Finals no longer goes through Cleveland. Could it go through Detroit? Casey is hoping it does.
