DeMarcus Cousins Boogies Out Of Sacramento In Trade To New Orleans

The Kings have reportedly traded DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

In exchange for Cousins, the Pelicans will send a 2017 first-round draft pick, a 2017 second-round pick, guard Buddy Hield, swingman Tyreke Evans and point guard Langston Galloway.

Sacramento is also sending Omri Casspi to the Pelicans as part of the deal.

The trade rumors picked up steam when Cousins played only two minutes in Sunday nights All-Star Game.

Cousins will join fellow All-Star big man Anthony Davis in the New Orleans frontcourt. Davis is fresh off winning the All-Star Game MVP award, scoring a game-record 52 points.

Cousins is averging 27.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this season.
