Serena and Venus Williams cruised through their first-round matches at the US Open, losing a total of four games between the two of them. Serena's opponent needed a hug to get through it.
The way the New York Times described it, Serena barely broke a sweat in dominating the overmatched and overwhelmed former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone.

After one especially frustrating point early in the second set — which ended with one of Schiavone’s 18 unforced errors — she feigned tossing her racket into the stands, then grabbed and embraced one of the ball boys. Williams had to turn her back to keep from smirking.
“I just thought I have to stay focused and do what I can,” Williams said. “I wanted to just stay really focused out there.”
Williams had 13 winners and won 71.4 percent of her serves to improve to 52-1 in first-round matches at a Grand Slam event.
