Collectively, the Jackie Robinson Foundation and New York Daily News are offering $50,000 for information on the defacing of Robinson's Brooklyn statue.
The Jackie Robinson Foundation is putting up $40,000, and the New York Daily News is offering $10,000 for info on the statue that stands outside the Brooklyn minor league stadium. There were racial epithets and other expletives written in black marker last Wednesday.
It's unclear how likely it is for authorities to catch who did this, but folks are putting their money up to get to the bottom of it.
