PRITTY Left Hook: Jason Tobin of WARRIOR

This week, the stars of the Cinemax series WARRIOR have been stopping by PRITTY Left Hook Live to discuss season two, which debuts on Friday, October 2nd.

Jason Tobin, who plays Young Jun, stopped by and kicked it virtually with me and he even brought a bottle of vodka!

My man!

Tobin has appeared in over twenty films and television productions. His breakout film was Better Luck Tomorrow by Justin Lin. He has reunited with Lin a few times since when he appeared in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift as Earl, and now in WARRIOR also directed by Lin.

He has been widely praised for breaking the model minority stereotype of Asian Americans on screen. You don’t want to miss this energy filled episode where Tobin discusses Bruce Lee, landing his dream job, and breaking the mold for Asians on screen.

WARRIOR is a gritty, action-packed crime drama set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 19th century. The series follows Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances. After proving his worth as a fighter, Ah Sahm becomes a hatchet man for the Hop Wei, one of Chinatown’s most powerful Tongs (Chinese organized crime family). Season two follows rival Chinatown Tongs as they fight for dominance amidst the growing anti-Chinese fervor that threatens to destroy them all.
