Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon has filed a class-action lawsuit against fantasy sports website FanDuel on behalf of NFL players for using their image and likeness without permission.
“FanDuel has taken the liberty to engage in these actions without my consent and without proper licensing rights,” Garcon said in a statement. “As a result of these activities, FanDuel daily fantasy contests have shown increasing revenues leading to large profits.”

FanDuel has been in hot water lately and the subject of other lawsuits recently.
There has been an ongoing debate about whether fantasy sports websites like FanDuel constitute as gambling, which has historically been outlawed in professional sports. Fantasy betting has been called a skill, but analyzing stats and betting money on uncertain outcomes, sounds a lot like gambling.
Except major regulations in the sports fantasy world following this ‘suit.
