Percy Harvin is expected to be out for at least three to four months recovering from hip surgery. Harvin, who in March was traded from Minnesota for three picks — including a 2013 first-rounder — announced on Twitter that his injury is going to require more attention than anticipated.

The team confirmed that he will have surgery on Thursday.
It's definitely a blow to the Seahawks, who stood to benefit immediately from the added speed to their offense. But the team was pretty good without Harvin last year, and if he returns to similar form around playoff time, it could be just the spark they need in Seattle.
