Om'Mas Keith has released a new album, City Pulse, via soundcloud. City Pulse has been in the works for months, but was stashed away while Keith worked on producing Frank Ocean's Channel Orange. Good move. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Keith discusses the timing of the project, as well as working with Azealia Banks on her upcoming album release.
Om'Mas and his Sa-Ra partners are vanguardes of an L.A. collective — that includes acts like Flying Lotus, Georgia Anne Muldrow, J'Davey, Thundercat and others — that have been pushing the boundaries of R&B and soul music for about the last decade. His latest project does more of the same.
