Netflix just previewed its first trailer for a new time-travel drama “See You Yesterday,” produced by Spike Lee. The film is directed by Lee’s protégé, Stefon Bristol and co-written by Frederica Bailey.

“See You Yesterday” follows two Brooklyn teenage science prodigies — Claudette “C.J.” Walker (Eden Duncan-Smith) and Sebastian J, Thomas (Dante Crichlow) — as they attempt to go back in time to save CJ’s brother, Calvin (Rapper Astro), from being wrongfully shot by a police officer.

The movie, which is based on a 2017 short of the same name, is set to launch May 17 on Netflix after its premiere on May 3rd at the Tribeca Film Festival.
