Although the NBA has loosened up the grip on what footwear athletes can sport, it looks like Kanye Wests new basketball sneakers still might not make it on to the court.
According to ESPN, Yeezys first ever basketball sneaker basketball sneaker might already be banned due to the use of one particular feature, its 3M material. While most sneakers feature the 3M material on their silhouettes, Kanye went a bit overboard with the reflective fabric and draped the heel in it.

And although the 3M doesnt necessarily violate any of the leagues footwear rules, the NBA feels that it would be potentially distracting for both in-arena spectators and television viewers.
