Natalia Bryant filed a restraining order against a man she believes is stalking her and sending creepy, sexually suggestive messages. Now the sports world is concerned.
The 19-year-old is the oldest daughter of the late basketball icon Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa. Natalia is considered a bearer of his legacy. Based on her father’s and young sister’s tragic death, the culture has a universal feeling that she must be protected at all costs.
Bryant took this seriously and went to court on Monday to get a restraining order against 32-year-old Dwayne Kemp, the man she accused of stalking her. Court documents report that Natalia alleges Kemp attempted to contact her two years ago when she was 17. Bryant believes that Kemp is under the impression that the two are engaged in a romantic relationship. When she discovered his delusion, he was 30 years old and she was still a minor. Natalia contends that she has never met Kemp or had any contact with him.

Natalia Bryant Fears For Her Safety
“Kobe Bryant’s 19-year-old daughter is scared, and so is the LAPD; they say a stalker with a criminal history involving guns has been doing everything he can to find her,” TMZ reported.
Natalia says that Kemp has gone as far as once sending her a direct message on social media with an image of her late father Kobe writing, “Thankful For Him Birthing You, Hopefully We Can Birth Him… ‘Kobe'” with a red heart emoji attached to the message. Natalia interpreted the message as Kemp hoping to have “a Kobe-like child together,” with her.
He also sent another message in late October: “I Love You And I’m Sorry. Can We Talk And Makeup So We Can Be Friends Again..?”

The worst part is that Kemp reportedly is actively pursuing her whereabouts, and Natalia feels he is doing everything he can to find her since contacting her. He even showed up at her University of Southern California sorority house, and as a result she is living in constant fear. Additionally, Kemp reportedly showed up at one of her classes and allegedly roamed the building with what appeared to be a bouquet of flowers in surveillance images.
Who’s the Creepy Man Stalking Natalia Bryant?
Kemp is described as a gun enthusiast, and according to docs Kemp is currently going through the process of buying a gun with its sale looming. Kemp has allegedly threatened to purchase an AK-47 and a fully automatic Glock handgun. The gun enthusiast reportedly has been arrested and convicted of at least four crimes, including one involving firearms.
Now the Los Angeles Police Department is involved in the case and wants a restraining order for Bryant, who is asking the court to order Kemp to stay at least 200 yards away from her, her home, job, school, sorority house and car. In December, Bryant shared an update on Instagram that she had wrapped up an exciting first semester. Wearing a USC letterman jacket, Bryant showed moments with her friends, including concerts, sporting events, parties and even Disneyland. Now Bryant has to watch what she posts, knowing that Kemp is paying close attention.
The judge has yet to rule in the case, and a hearing is currently set for Dec. 14.
