An attorney representing the city of Milwaukee said that Milwaukee Bucks player Sterling Brown was partly to blame for being tased by police officers in an incident in January of this year.
In a court document, attorney Grant Langley asserted that the officers did nothing wrong, despite video evidence proving they acted in a hyper-aggressive manner.
The injuries and damages sustained by the plaintiff, if any, were caused in whole or in part by their own acts or omissions, Langley responded according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
This document was in response to Brown filing a lawsuit earlier in the year against the city and the police department for how he was treated. After video was released from the night in question, Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales and Mayor Tom Barrett apologized to Brown for the officers actions.
