Louisville TKOs Baylor And Brittney Griner By Making It Rain From Deep

Women's college basketball isn't known for its tournament upsets. As a result, Baylor was penciled in for at least a trip to the Final Four. Additionally, Baylor superstar Brittney Griner was on pace to become NCAA's all-time women's scoring leader during the Final Four. The thing is, someone forgot to tell Louisville. Hours after the Cardinals men advanced to the Final Four, women pulled off the greatest upset in school history.

Griner finished with just 14 points, as she was absolutely swarmed by defenders whenever she touched the rock in the post.  The Cardinals were leading thoughout nstead, until guard Odyssey Sims led Baylor's furious rally from a 19-point deficit in 12 minutes. Louisville was not going to be denied, and  Monique Reid regained the Cardinals lead with 2.6 seconds left by knocking down two free throws. Offensively, Louisville avoided Griner's demoralizing shot blocking ability by making 16-of-25 treys from behind the arc.

It was a physical game that even saw a Stanford player take a swing at a falling Griner. Among one of the more controversial plays was a charge called on Sims in the final 20 seconds which could have gone either way.

Louisville was physical on and off the court. Watch one of Louisville's players pop Kevin Durant in the mouth during their postgame celebration.
