Lake Show Overshadows Absence of Joel Embiid & Ben Simmons

The Lakers, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis toyed with the Philadelphia Sixers on Tuesday night. Call it a celebration of Lebron’s second Player of the Month award in a row.

We already know that The Duo, which seems to really be figuring out exactly how to play together and maximize each other’s skills, is supposed to crush a Sixers team playing without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons

So the fact that the Lakers won 120-107 is really just the Lakers showing mercy. Philly basically waved the white flag before this game started.

Non-Lakers fans couldn’t have been happy about the player shortage in Philly.

However, by the time the game was over AD’s 37-point, 13-rebound effort, which included some fancy footwork and a behind-the-back, coast-to-coast bucket and LeBron’s Steph Curry imitation left the fans satisfied, despite the absence of two of the game’s biggest stars.

The Lakers actually need nights off like this where their Top Dogs can still get some work, build a rapport with the fans and build chemistry for the Championship run that lies ahead.
