We don’t need any special scientific experiences to prove that Kyrie Irving is a bad dude. The only thing you need to do is run down his list of All-Star victims. Indeed, it’s no sin to be put on Irving’s hit list, no shame to get cut up by the razor sharp dribbling ability of Uncle Drew. On Sunday, the game was Cleveland versus Oklahoma City. But there were many who tuned in just to see who would win this matchup between two of the best point guards the NBA has to offer.
Russell Westbrook is a physical freak of nature unlike what has ever been seen at the point guard position. But Kyrie Irving is on one this season, averaging career highs in points, field goal percentage and free throw percentage.
But, unlike others putting up numbers unheard of in decades, we tune into Planet Irving to see the handles. Check out how he did your boy Westbrook during Cleveland’s 107 to 91 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Westbrook would notch yet another triple double, but was clearly outclassed this time around.
Westbrook finished with 20 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds, but his shooting percentage was atrocious. Irving, who connected on 12 of his 22 field goal attempts, led the Cavaliers with 29 points and 10 assists and Cleveland’s 107-91 win.
