Knicks’ Porzingis Drops Career-High 29 points

Kristaps Porzingis had a special night. The first of many.

The Knicks defeated the Charlotte Hornets 102-94, behind the Latvian forward’s career high 29 points and 11 rebounds, pulling New York’s record even at (6-6).

Porzingis was not supposed to be this good, this early. Many scouts predicted he would be a 2-3 year project, and KP has already shown he’s the Knicks best pick since Ewing. What has been special to watch is how versatile of an offense player he is already. Last night he scored off a dream-shake, floaters, threes, mid-range and off-the-dribble. And he’s only going to get better. Scary.
