Kelsey Plum Breaks Women’s All-Time D-1 Scoring Mark

March Madness is at our doorstep and during tournament time players emerge, teams gel and NCAA storylines start dominating the sports social media moshpit. UConn isnt the only womens team making waves. Its hard to shine brighter than 103 straight wins, but Washingtons Kelsey Plum stole the spotlight from Storrs and that in itself is a huge accomplishment these days. She made her Huskies team the talk of college basketball in this latest 24-hour sports cycle.

Plum started Saturday’s game against Utah 54 points shy of passing Jackie Stiles all-time Division I career scoring mark for women of 3,393.

Plum decided to get it all at home in front of the Washington faithful, dropping a record 57 points in the Huskies’ 84-77 regular-season finale victory.

The 5-8 senior guard leads womens college basketball in scoring with a whopping 30.9 points per game. If her squad doesnt play another game on their home court in Washington, she gave her fans a farewell gift for the ages.
