Kelly Olynyk Shows His Double-Double Potential In Summer League

Celtics rookie Kelly Olynyk put up his first double-double of the Summer League session with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

Despite being 2-2 in Summer League play, the organization still seems impressed with the first round pick.

During our NBA Draft Preview series, I noted that Olynyk is a scrappy player who is going to take what the defense gives him, while being as aggressive as he possibly can. Check out the clip from the Magic game and you'll see he's hitting jumpers, up-and-unders and converting on second chance points.

"I mean, he's 7-feet tall," Celtics Summer League coach Jay Larranaga said. "If he's around the basket, he's got as good a shot as anybody to get it. He's not afraid of contact and he's very smart so he can anticipate where the rebound might go."
