Age ain't nothing but a number, but it does tell us some interesting things about the SEC. According to a recent study by college football rocket scientist Phil Steele of SEC rosters, South Carolina is the youngest team in the SEC this year. Conversely, Texas A&M is the definition of the phrase, 'a child shall lead them'. Interestingly enough, Texas A&M has the oldest roster in the SEC despite having the first-ever Heisman Trophy winning freshman piloting their offense. What exactly does this mean? Probably about as much as your zodiac signs, but it's an interesting note to remember in November if you're ripping A&M's immaturity and praising South Carolina's experience.
