Oscar-nominated writer-director-producer John Singleton is developing a drama for HBO with Russell Simmons. The show, titled Club Life: Miami, follows a reformed criminal who moves to South Beach and starts a new life by diving into the party scene.
The show will be written by Singleton and exec produced by both Singleton and Simmons. Interestingly enough, Club Life: Miami could rival another new show Power, which is a drama set in the New York City nightclub scene. Power is exec produced by 50 Cent and will premiere on Starz in 2014.
