Syracuse and Georgetown garnered most of the attention leading into the weekend. However, both Louisville and Georgetown won comfortably while Marquette and St. Johns delivered the highlights. The Golden Eagles weren't even supposed to be in this position. They've never won a Big East title before and were picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll. It almost didn't happen, as the Johnnies 9-0 surge in the final two minutes of regulation sent the game into overtime and should have deflated Marquette.
Center Chris Obekpa was a one-man SWAT unit in the paint all afternoon, with seven blocks, but he couldn't gather number eight on two decisive plays.
Obekpa had 7 blocks today for St. John's. #mubb's last two baskets were lay-ups by Vander Blue, attacking the paint, and Obekpa.

The good news is he's hoisting a Big East championship. The bad news?
