“I Will Break My Foot Off In Your John Brown Hind Parts” | Fantasy Owner Channels Inner Herman Boone When Trying To Inspire Amon-Ra St. Brown

Fantasy Football might be more competitive than actual football, just without the physicality of the game (sometimes). Fantasy owners can vary from laid back, and mild-mannered managers, to all in, and take-no-prisoners owners.

We’ve seen the latter a few times in fantasy football, and more specifically how it has translated to the actual football players who may have caused these heated emotions in these fantasy owners to erupt.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was the most recent victim of these emotions.

St. Brown was most likely drafted to many fantasy football teams. He’s projected to be a top target for Jared Goff in his sophomore year, and after producing 90 catches for 917 yards, and five touchdowns with a fantasy score of 137.3 points in his rookie season, he’s expected to ball out this year.

With these expectations, one fantasy owner in particular let it be known in a DM what is expected from the second-year receiver. After congratulating the humble receiver with the honor of being on HIS fantasy football team, the fantasy owner got straight to business letting St. Brown know what the standard is for his team.

The creativity in his message was insane and a bit crude out of context as he channeled his inner coach Herman Boone from the classic high school football movie “Remember The Titans.”

“Congrats, you have been selected to my fantasy team. With that being said, I want to establish some ground rules.

We will be perfect in every aspect of the game. You drop a pass, you run a mile. You miss a blocking assignment, you run a mile. You fumble the football, and I will break off my foot in your John Brown hind parts, and then you will run a mile. Perfection.” via Amon-Ra St.Brown instagram.

It’s safe to say this owner is out for the championship this year, and he’s expecting nothing less than greatness from his players. St. Brown most likely won’t disappoint in his second season.

However, with that being said, the audacity that this man has to approach a professional athlete like that shows his confidence as s fantasy owner and suggests he possesses some top-notch motivation skills.

Drawing from Boone’s speech wasn’t the worst source of motivation. This was an iconic speech, given during an iconic moment in time. Herman Boone was not only portrayed by one of the great actors of all time in Denzel Washington, but he was a larger-than-life figure in many ways himself.

The whole movie was based on Boone and a few other staff and coaches of that high school football team that unified a racially divided school through football in the 1970s. This movie won plenty of awards for its message and the amazing acting and writing that went into it.

With this type of motivation, it’s only right that St. Brown goes hard, and he seems to embrace the message that this fantasy owner sent to him.

After reposting a picture of the DM St. Brown received, he captioned “Wow. I’m at a loss for words.”

It seems that St. Brown is taking all of this in, and with the Denzel Washington quote, he’s probably ready to run through a wall for the fantasy owner. Not sure how this fantasy motivation will help a Detroit team that is expected to be doormats again.

But the emotionally invested fan probably believes he can influence the win-loss column as well.
