Harbaugh Apologizes For Culliver’s Homophobic Comments

Jim Harbaugh issued the first apology for the repugnant comments made by Chris Culliver. Harbaugh told the media that the 2nd year DB’s diatribe against homosexuals aren’t indicative of his character.

“There’s not malice in his heart. He’s not an ugly person. He’s not a discriminatory person,” Harbaugh said. “I really believe that this is something that he’ll learn and grow from.”

I’d like to believe that, but Culliver’s comments were so full of vitriol and malice that you'd have to assume they are at least somewhat authentic.

"I don't do the gay guys, man. I don't do that," "No. Ain't got no gay people on the team. They gotta get up outta here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff."

These aren’t the words of a person who’s tolerant and accepting. I’m not willing to buy Harbaugh’s defense nor am I willing buy Culliver’s apology either.
