Fire Chief Who Dropped N-Word On Mike Tomlin Is Now Unemployed

Its amazing how many people have fallen victim to the instantaneous, spontaneous, often premature expression that social media allows the world. Its also amazing that in 2017 there are still some white folks who cant contain themselves enough to realize that using the n-word to discredit or insult a person of another race will get your ass in serious trouble.

The fire chief in a town outside Pittsburgh is out of a job after he targeted a racial slur at Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin on Facebook over the teams decision stay in the locker room for the national anthem on Sunday. Paul Smith, the chief of Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Station No. 2, wrote: Tomlin just added himself to the list of no good (n——). Yes I said it.

Naturally, his comment caused a firestorm of controversy as Smiths idiotic use of the slur drew backlash from officials in Cecil, a town located about 20 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, and, later Tuesday, the township’s board of supervisors announced “Smith is no longer the Volunteer Fire Chief at the Muse Volunteer Fire Company.”

You think?

According to The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Smith had resigned on Tuesday

Several townspeople were highly critical of Smiths comments. Smith eventually apologized to CBS Pittsburgh on Facebook

“I am embarrassed at this. I want to apologize. I was frustrated and angry at the Steelers not standing the anthem. This had nothing to do with my Fire Department. I regret what I said.”

“My fire department should have never been dragged into this. It was a bad judgement by me, for which I am very embarrassed, for them and my township.”

But he unbelievably also tried to blame the media for him being a racist, bigot with a cesspool mouth. There is no forgiving a comment like that, especially against an upstanding dude like Tomlin. It also give you insight into why the country is torn right now and the many closet racists that contribute to the problems in this country.

The media dragged my fire company and township into this as well as my family, said Smith, former chief of the Muse Township Volunteer Fire Department in Cecil, in a statement to the newspaper.

He definitely sounds like a Trump supporter. Smiths blaming the media for being a racist. I find it comical. Instead of forgiveness the dude needs a muzzle and a weeks worth of washing his mouth out with soap. And he will have plenty of time to reflect on his idiot words and think twice before posting his true feelings on social media now that he is no longer fire chief
