The company has also removed Ronaldos image from their social channels but have yet to confirm the reasoning behind the change.
EA did however release a statement addressing the allegations facing Ronaldo on Wednesday:
We have seen the concerning report that details allegations against Cristiano Ronaldo, EA Sports said on Wednesday, as reported by Associated Press. We are closely monitoring the situation, as we expect cover athletes and ambassadors to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with EAs values.
This removal comes after the reopening of an investigation by the Las Vegas police into an allegation by American woman Kathryn Mayorga that Ronaldo raped her in a hotel room in 2009.
