Donald Glover is a creative whirlwind whose accomplishments are the envy of many. Music, film, television, writing, acting, rhyming; he has proven that he can flourish in just about any medium of entertainment he chooses.
His Emmy wins yesterday solidify the obvious, that Glover is a savant of the silver screen, and a paramour of perspective on black thought, a professor of picturesque prose. He became the first Black man to win the award for outstanding directing in a comedy series.

A writing stint on 30 Rock, a starring role on NBCs Community, a couple of stand-up specials on Comedy Central, several mixtapes and studio albums released via his Childish Gambino alter ego, but the soul and reality that exists amid the laughter of Atlanta deserves all the accolades.

From the lighting used to illuminate certain scenes, to the signature cinematography, to the casting and writing, Atlanta is as intimate a contemporary comedy as Ive ever witnessed in my life. Thats not even to mention the score. The exciting part about it is, Glover is only 33 years old.
He is slated to play legendary space pimp Lando Calrissian, is writing a Deadpool animated series with his brother, and hell voice Simba in a remake of The Lion King.
Atlanta has won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2016, Glover won a Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy series then as well.
Yesterdays Emmy awards for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series are further testament to the renaissance-level genius of one Donald Glover.
