DC Comics Movies Loom in the Distance

There have been rumblings of Warner Brothers' plans to take the DC Comics film franchise to the next level. That road map has already been laid out and fans have heard that Batman versus Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to drop in 2015. But there are reported plans to fill out the Justice League roster on the big screen not long afterwards.

The Dawn of Justice film is, according to prognosticators, scheduled to be followed by a Shazam movie in July 2016.  In fact, some believe Dawn of Justice was pushed from May to November to accommodate more DC movies in between.  Now, word drops that The Justice League movie, which features Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the crew, will drop in May 2017 with Wonder Woman finally getting her turn on the silver screen after its release.

Other news points to a film featuring a team up between The Flash and Green Lantern dropping around Christmas 2017. And thankfully, Ryan Reynolds will not return as Green Lantern.

Here’s the complete list of upcoming DC releases according to Deadline founder Nikki Finke.

May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam
Xmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
