The Price is so damn right, if you’re David Price, that is.
According to CBS Sports, the Red Sox have just made David Price the $217 million man, agreeing to a seven-year contract with the left-handed free-agent.
That’s $31 million per year. And some say there’s no money in baseball….
Price, 30, is coming off a 2015 season where he earned a 2.45 ERA in 220 1/3 innings for the Tigers and Blue Jays. Career wise, Price owns an ERA of 3.09 in eight major-league seasons for the Rays, Tigers and Blue Jays.
Price also won the AL Cy Young award in 2012.
