Connor Halliday Continues To Make Passing Synonymous with Cougars

Although Mississippi was the center of the college football world Saturday evening, the state of Washington unveiled its own magical performance through the arm of Washington St. Cougar QB Connor Halliday. Facing Cal at home, Halliday completed 48 of 69 passes for an FBS record 734 yards, breaking the previous mark of 716 yards set by Houston Cougars QB David Klinger in 1990 against Eastern Washington.

With all of the brilliant passing statistics set during the game, including Halliday's passer rating of 186.4 and Cal's Jared Goff's 527 yards passing, it was shocking to see the Cougars lose 60 to 59 as their kicker missed a 19-yard field goal at the end of the game.

This gives Halliday 3,052 yards passing in 6 games this season.

What a great weekend of college football.
