Actor Columbus Short was recently sued Monday by a man named, Felton Hyche II, who claims the actor assaulted him outside of a restaurant on March 15. Hyche is suing for battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence.
According to the lawsuit, the altercation between Short and Hyche occurred outside Gabe’s Bar and Grill in California where the two men were celebrating Hyche’s sister's engagement. Hyche claims he was “sucker punched” and knocked unconscious by Short during the altercation and also claims that he suffered a major fracture to his cheek. Hyche also stated that Short fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Short was recently removed from his role as Harrison Wright on ABC’s hit series Scandal amid allegations of spousal abuse.
