Carmelo Is Done With The Knicks And Wants Out

The Knicks have broken so many hearts and souls in the past two decades that its almost become a given that each season will bring more drama to the fans of the team.

The latest fiasco has been the Phil Jackson-Carmelo Anthony drama, which resulted in Phil running out of town with millions in his bank account and Carmelo Anthony wanting out of the city he was born in. Well, the Knicks tried to heal the inflicted wounds by promoting Steve Mills and hiring Scott Perry from the Sacramento Kings. Sounds like a good move right?

Then again, these are the Dolan-led Knicks, which means that heartache will always remain a part of the equation. In this case, fans learned that Carmelo is done with the franchise and wants out, and who can blame him after the way he was treated publicly and how the team has been managed since his arrival.

According to ESPNs all-NBA knowing Adrian Wojnarowski, who appeared on SportsCenter Tuesday morning, Anthony has made it clear to [the Knicks]: I want to go to Houston. I am not interested in talking to you about being reincorporated back into this New York roster.

Although the lead horse in the race for Carmelo is Houston, the Trailblazers have stepped into the picture.

So while Carmelo dreams of pairing with James Harden and Chris Paul or Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, Knicks fans are once again left shaking their heads and fists at the management of the once proud franchise which, apparently, no free agent wants to sign with.

Get ready for another long season Knicks fans.
