Canadian Ski Coach Saves Russian Skier

Canadians have a reputation for being excessively nice. I'm not sure where this stereotype emerged, but people like Drake only reinforce it. What Canadian ski coach Justin Wadsworth did on Tuesday only cemented that perception. After cross  country  skier Russian Anton Gafarov tumbled, he got back up and continued with a damaged ski.  However, near the finish, his ski snapped in half. That's when Canadian cross country coach Justin Wadsworth came flying down the side of the hill and strapped Gafarov's foot into a ski for the Russian to continue towards the finish line. .

When asked why he helped Gafarov after the race, Wadsworth told Cathal Kelly of the Toronto Star, “It was like watching an animal stuck in a trap.”

“You can’t just sit there and do nothing about it.” Wadsworth added.
