The young pandemic love of Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker has fizzled seemingly for good as the two reportedly are too busy for a relationship. The whirlwind love that was seen across continents and in the upper echelons of the sports and entertainment limelight is now rumored to be a thing of the past.

Jenner, a model and reality star, and Booker, one of the faces of the NBA and a superstar on the Phoenix Suns, quickly gained buzz over their relationship after first going public with their love on Valentine’s Day in 2021. The pairing was problematic for the superstitious Suns faithful, who began to raise concerns about the Kardashian curse.

The term describes the lousy luck that appears to follow anyone who gets too close to primary Kardashian sisters Kourtney, Khloe and Kim, and extends to their half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. One of the Jenner girls gave her opinion on the curse concept surrounding their chosen love interest’s inability to handle the level of fame that the family has acquired.

“But it’s not just men — it’s friends, it’s people who come and just don’t know how to handle it,” Kylie Jenner said to GQ in 2018. “It’s the negative. There’s a lot of people who love us, but there’s also a huge handful of people who don’t like us.”

Booker might have avoided the very public life upheavals of former Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband, Lamar Odom, and Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West, but the on-again, off-again kept the world wondering what was going on.

Both have demanding schedules with their respective businesses and entertainment professions. After spending their 2020 quarantine together, where the demands on their professional lives were less strenuous, their bond seemingly has been tested with one of the most common issues: work-life balance.

After two years of romance and very public displays of affection, caught during their time working events in their respective industries or major family moments, the two couldn’t keep it together. Many believed that Jenner and Booker would weather the storm and show the world two young stars in their prime could stay romantically involved.

During the 2022 U. S. Open, Booker and Jenner heated the stands with their public displays of affection. The two were caught kissing and cuddling while watching the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York. However, there were other public displays of affection stops across the country. During U.S. Open week, the two were spotted at an NBA 2K23 video game launch party in Los Angeles, where Booker competed against Chris Paul’s young son. Next, the two were found in New York City at New York Fashion Week events, where Jenner both walked the runway and sat in the high-profile section with Booker.

There were additional sightings in Los Angeles, where they had date nights, and the two traveled in August to the Gozzer Ranch Golf & Lake Club in Idaho. With Booker into his eighth NBA season and Jenner modeling and working her entrepreneurial endeavors, the star-studded couple is showing adulting isn’t an exclusive challenge.
